HYDRONIC UNDERFLOOR HEATING SYSTEM

Hydronic Underfloor Heating-The complete proposal for absolute thermal comfort:

Hot water underfloor heating systems are nowadays regarded as the complete proposal for the space heating of modern buildings. The system offers many advantages, especially in areas with high demands for thermal comfort.

In this system, hot water supply with a temperature range of 35οC to 45οC, passes through special pipes under the floor. With the use of appropriate materials, enhanced thermal contact is achieved with the building materials of the floor, which are heated and converted into a 'thermally charged body'.

The important properties of underfloor heating are the operation of the system at low floor temperatures and the high heat efficiency with radiation provided by the complete integration of the system in the structure of the building. In other words, the radiator is the heated floor itself. The low floor temperature ensures, in combination with the very large thermal surface, the best and most comfortable air conditioning condition of the space. The underfloor heating system can be used in houses of advanced architectural design, in apartments where due to limited area it is necessary to make full use of the available space, in cases of renovation of old houses and, of course, when the owners want optimal thermal comfort.klima3.jpg

Also, underfloor heating systems can be used in public buildings with high ceilings and proportionally limited area such as kindergartens, schools, churches, gyms, nursing homes, hotels, industrial buildings (production and storage areas) and livestock units.

AGV Klimacontrol Ltd in its continuous effort to offer high quality products and services, has developed a complete underfloor heating system that perfectly meets the current requirements of consumers. The high experience levels and the use of advanced technology ensure a perfect, timeless and reliable heating system.

All parts of the underfloor heating system offered by AGV Klimacontrol Ltd have been selected in order to offer the end-user the highest level of quality and operational safety. The factory control of the products and the continuous effort for research and technological development of the system, are fully reflected in the ten-year warranty provided in each underfloor heating system.

Advantages:
floorheating system 3.jpg1. Uniform distribution of temperature in the room: The use of the floor as a large thermal body with increased heat capacity, allows the symmetrical emission of heat mainly through radiation to all parts of the room that we seek to heat. Therefore, the uniform distribution of temperature in the room creates conditions of increased thermal comfort.

2. 2. "Warm feet-Cold head": An ideal heating system should heat the air more towards the floor and up to a height of 1.80cm and less close to the ceiling. With underfloor heating, this is achieved to

the maximum extent since temperature distribution is escalated by height. The maximum temperature is displayed at the feet, then at the torso and the height of the head while the minimum is at the roof of the room in which there is no need for high temperatures anyway. Underfloor heating is closer than any other system to this ideal distribution, realizing the desire "warm feet - cold head".

3. Hygienic environment: In contrast to conventional heating systems where their operation is based on the recirculation of air in the heated space, underfloor heating ensures the absence of heating currents that carry dust and harmful to humans microbial organisms. Additionally, the phenomenon of drying atmosphere of the heated space is avoided. This can happen in space heating with radiators, where the value of humidity decreases due to the evaporation observed during the contact of the air with the radiators.

4. Energy saving: Because the whole floor is warm and the air speed inside the building is very low, there is a feeling that the space is warmer than in reality. For this reason, it is observed that the room temperature is set by 1οC to 2οC lower in comparison to conventional heating systems - which in turn reduce energy consumption. Reduction of heat losses is also achieved due to the low temperature on the roof of the heated space. In addition, underfloor heating uses low temperature water, thus reducing heat losses in the energy source and in the water branch networks. This, combined with the use of quality floor insulation boards and modern system control automation, result in an additional reduction in fuel consumption of up to 25%.

5. Absolute freedom in the interior design: The underfloor heating provides complete freedom in the interior design and decoration of the space. Large openings, better views, space utilization and comfortable furniture without restrictions. Underfloor heating avoids conventional heating units that take up space, block furniture, obstruct views and destroy the desired sense of spaciousness.

6. Useful space economy: You save 5% to 10% more space by avoiding the use of conventional heating units.

7. Underfloor heating is suitable for high-altitude areas due to the costly provision of the appropriate temperature, if any of the conventional central heating methods are chosen.

8. Possibility to use alternative / renewable energy sources: Because underfloor heating operates at low temperatures, it is possible to use alternative and renewable energy sources in conjunction, such as solar thermal energy, air to water heat pump and energy from geothermal energy.
