HYDRONIC UNDERFLOOR HEATING SYSTEM

Thermal pipe and insulation board:
The main feature of any underfloor heating is the underlying thermal pipe. The underfloor heating system offered by our company, uses the Pexgol pipe which is made of high quality and tested materials - Mesh Polyethylene (PEX-c) - and undergoes the process of high stabilization that guarantees its excellent mechanical properties.

Pexgol pipe is subject to the strictest quality controls throughout the production process and up to its packaging, in order to exceed the specifications DIN16892 /3, 53453, 53455, 53457, 4725. In addition, the Pexgol pipe is very flexible and this facilitates easy of installation.

The Pexgol pipe is placed on the insulating boards in a snail-like shape, because this configuration implies that mechanical stresses are kept low. In this way of laying the pipe, the temperature differences of the supply and return paths are offset resulting in a more uniform temperature performance in the space.

Insulation boards:
In any underfloor heating system, the expanded polystyrene floor insulation boards offer the required thermal and sound insulation at the same time with the effective and safe support base of the heat pipe.
The underfloor heating system offered by Klimacontrol uses insulation boards that offer:
  • Precise installation and guidance towards the laying pipe
  • Complete covering of the heat pipe with concrete
  • Excellent thermal and sound insulation
  • Simple and watertight application
The insulation boards, which are made according to the standards DIN 4102 and 18164, have on their top a special liquid protection layer that prevents the penetration of the moisture of the concrete in the slab. The support protrusions of the heat pipe located at the top of the insulation board have a special configuration for the secure support and placement of the pipe so that it is completely covered by the concrete. This optimizes the heat distribution in the floor.

During the installation of the slabs, a watertight connection is achieved thanks to the special 'pigeon tails' and the corresponding 'pigeon nests' that are provided and that ensure a tight assembly of the slabs.
